Welcome to Priory Park Preschool

Priory Park Preschool opened in 1991 as a community Preschool.  Located within the popular residential area of Locks Heath, it is in close proximity to the areas of Park Gate, Warsash, Locks Heath and Sarisbury Green.

Priory Park Preschool’s Outside Area

The day to day running is the responsibility of the Preschool Manager, Mrs Louise Keates and Deputy Manager, Mrs Sophie Crook. Being a registered charity, the Preschool also has an active voluntary Parent Committee that is responsible for employing staff, setting staff wages, agreeing session fees and arranging fundraising events.

Priory Park Preschool has been providing childcare to the local community for over 30years. In that time is has developed from a small parent and toddler group, to a play school, to a now busy thriving high quality Preschool. We are a small team – with a very caring family feel. We have a very low turnover of staff – Our team seem to go on to retire with us!

We strive to ensure that our preschool develops along with the way children’s learning changes so that we are always learning new ways to nurture our children. Our relaxed atmosphere and calming invitations to learn really enhance the opportunities for our children to reach their full potential.

Our last Ofsted Inspection was undertaken in December 2022. We were extremely pleased to receive a solid ‘GOOD’.

Why choose us? We differ from the larger nursery’s by catering for children aged 2.9yrs to 4yrs so this enables us to provide a dedicated care in the lead up to school age.

Priory Park Preschool is well known throughout the local community and is often the first choice of Preschool for parents intending to send their child to Locks Heath Infant School or Hook With Warsash. We do also feed into other local schools such as Sarisbury Infants and Park Gate Primary.

Our Ethos

We have a vision for the children of our Preschool. We hope that during their time with us they will learn how to become strong, resilient learners, that they understand how to show empathy and care for others. We hope they learn the life skills needed to be successful adults. We hope to show them how to build their imagination and confidence to explore and be curious, and to believe in their own strength to develop their own learning. We hope they are happy and and free to express themselves in positives ways and to build strong bonds with their peers. To understand how to listen and value others opinions, and learns ways to self regulate their emotions to become polite and respectful adults.
